Who we are
BlockGenie is the new trading name of MY Facilities Management Ltd, registered in England, company no. 14579072. Registered office: Stiles & Co, Unit 4 Taplow Road, Taplow, Maidenhead, England, SL6 0JQ. We are the data controller for the information described here. What we collect
- Enquiries: your name, contact details, building and message when you contact us or use the form on this website.
- Leaseholders and residents of buildings we manage: names, contact details, flat and lease details, service charge payment records, repair reports and correspondence.
- Directors of client companies: names, contact details and records of board decisions.
- Contractors: business contact details, insurance and qualification documents, and payment records.
Why we use it
- To manage buildings under our management agreements with RTM companies, resident management companies and freeholders (contract and legitimate interests).
- To collect service charges and keep accounts (contract and legal obligation).
- To meet building safety, anti-money laundering and other legal duties (legal obligation).
- To reply to enquiries and send proposals (legitimate interests).
Who we share it with
Only where needed: contractors carrying out work (for access and contact), insurers and brokers, accountants and auditors, banks holding client accounts, our software providers, and authorities where the law requires. We never sell personal information.
Enquiries sent using the form on this website are received and stored for us by Netlify, Inc., which hosts this website, and are then emailed to us. Netlify is based in the United States, and transfers to it are covered by the safeguards in its data processing agreement.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an appointment are deleted after 2 years. Records about a building and its service charges are kept for the period of our management and for 7 years afterwards. Building safety records are kept for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it or ask us to restrict it. Email hello@blockgenie.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
